Be Part of the Solution

Volunteers are absolutely critical for the Hub’s day-to-day operations. In 2025, more than 300 community members have volunteered to help divert waste! The Hub offers a variety of different volunteer opportunities that include customer-facing experiences, independent work positions, and even ways to contribute from home. Join us in our efforts to make the Greater Cincinnati community a healthier place to live!

Mini-Hub Volunteer

Assist customers as they bring in materials and navigate our recycling drop-off area, to maintain the quality of our various recycling collections during operational hours.

Upstairs Processor

Work independently sorting and verifying collected materials and to dissasemble materials for recycling processing by our partners.

If it is your first time volunteering:

Volunteer Policy: Children 12 and over are welcome and must be accompanied by at least one adult per three children at all times. Volunteers over 16 are welcome without adults.

*Note must be 18 years or older to volunteer on our Tinker Team.

If you volunteer for the Hub from home or otherwise outside of the Hub's warehouse, click here to submit your hours.

AT-HOME VOLUNTEERING

Help us sanitize prescription pill bottles. Pick up a bag of bottles along with instructions and then take them home to sanitize! You can see the preparation guidelines:

TINKER TEAM

Enjoy fixing things or making them look shiny and new again? Join our Tinker Team to get discarded electronics back in working condition and to a family in need.
