Divert More Than Ever With The Hub!

The Hub is a one-stop-drop for a wide variety of materials. Making it easy for you to keep household waste from going into the landfill. We accept reusable items; general items such as metal and plastics; and universal waste items including electronics, batteries, and lightbulbs. The full list and corresponding prices are below.

Universal Waste Items

Household items that may contain hazardous elements are considered universal waste and include electronics, batteries, and lightbulbs. These items are accepted, but require processing for safety and incur additional fees.

  • Appliances (battery-powered)

    Examples
    Any appliance with a rechargeable battery including toothbrushes, razors, and vacuums.

General Items

Many general household items are accepted for recycling and include plastics, metal, and more.
PRICE FOR DROP-OFF: (Beginning January 1, 2026) $15 for one full month of unlimited drop-offs; less than $10 per month with a Hub Club Membership

  • Aluminum

    Material
    Any aluminum items including pie tins, can lids, yogurt lids, keys, pots/pans

    Result
    Recycled locally by River Metals Recycling: rmrecycling.com

  • Cords/Cables/Wires

    Examples
    Any amount of cords including USB cords, power cords, TV input cables, and HDMI cables

    Result
    Recycled for metal components

  • Crayons

    Example
    Broken and used crayons

    Result
    Recycling and eventually reuse for those in need

  • Denim

    Examples
    Jeans (90+% cotton content)

    Result
    Upcycled into pet bed stuffing insulation, sustainable packaging

  • Diapers

  • Egg Cartons

    Example
    Packing styrofoam, food containers, oft foam sheets, styrofoam packing peanuts (Peanuts must be enclosed in a box or bag and verified with staff at drop off. We do not accept cornstarch peanuts, but you can dissolve those in water or compost in your yard.)

Reusable Items

We appreciate donations of reusable items at the Hub. These items are either given to local nonprofits or sold in our Hub Shop. We take many reusable items including just a few examples below:
