The Hub Shop
Sustainable Shopping at a Small Price
You’ll find our wonderful Hub Shop on the 4th floor of our facility. This retail store is full of a wide range of reusable items priced at a low cost to keep them out of landfills while providing financial support for The Hub.
Pricing:
Beginning June 17, 2025 we will implement the following pricing policies:
• Most retail items will cost $1 per pound
• Zero Landfill materials (such as flooring) will be 25¢ per pound
• Other exceptions will apply and we will maintain a section of free items
• We will round down to the nearest dollar with a minimum charge of $1 per order
• We will accept cash or credit
Before you visit:
• We are open during typical Hub hours: Tuesday 10–2, Thursday 12-6, and Saturday 10–2.
• Our 4th floor is subject to closure in extreme temperatures. We will always announce these closures on our home page and social media accounts. Planned closures of the entire facility are listed on the footer of our website and on our event calendar.
• Please bring reusable tote bags for your items.
When you arrive:
• Park in the gated lot on Woodrow Street. Our address is 911 Evans Street which is the front of the building. The gated lot is on the backside of the building. See this map for assistance.
• Enter at the open garage door and wait by the elevator to the right of the entrance. A volunteer or employee operates the elevator throughout the day, and will assist in taking you up the fourth floor to shop. The stairs are not accessible to the public. Please be patient for a few minutes, as we are moving both people and recyclables up and down with this elevator!
• SHOP! Feel free to shop around the fourth floor and take a look at all of the available items. Please be respectful of clearly marked off areas, as these are personal office spaces or warehouse spaces that are closed off for your safety. While you never know what you might find, we ALWAYS have fabric, tile, egg cartons, clothing hangers, gardening pots, binders, and office/school supplies. See photos below!
• Before you leave, make sure you have a Hub staff member assist you with weighing and recording the items you take. This is how we track the amount of material we divert from the landfill through recycling and reuse. Help us expedite this process by having similar categories of items grouped together in your reusable bag or a box. After weighing out, wait by the elevator and a staff member or volunteer will return you to the ground floor.
