Tired of throwing so much waste in the trash? Now you don’t have to!

For a limited time, you can sign up for a free Hub Club membership to recycle at the Cincinnati Recycling & Reuse Hub. Bring your hard-to-recycle items to either our downtown or Loveland locations and start keeping more waste out of the landfill while reducing your environmental impact. Hub All-Stars will receive free recycling services October through December (a $45 value), plus the opportunity to attend an introductory educational session.

This amazing program is made possible through the generosity of Cincinnati astronomer, author, and philanthropist Dean Regas, a longtime supporter, recycler and volunteer at the Hub. We’re so grateful for his commitment to helping our community create a healthier environment!

What can I recycle as a Hub All-Star?

  • Crayons

    Broken and used crayons

  • Denim

    Jeans (90+% cotton content)

  • Egg Cartons

    Paper or plastic egg cartons in any condition

  • Eyewear

    Eyeglasses and cases in any condition.

  • Foam

    Packing styrofoam, food containers, soft foam sheets, styrofoam packing peanuts.

  • Metal

    All aluminum and metal items including tins, yogurt lids, and aluminum foil.

  • Office/School Supplies

    Usable and unusable supplies

  • Pill Bottles

    Cleaned and sanitized #5 PP pill bottles

  • Plastics: Rigid

    #1, #2 HDPE, #3, #4 LDPE, #5 PP, #6 PS, #7 OTHER, and No # rigid plastics.

  • Plastics (Soft): Flexible Film

    Mixed material soft plastic packaging including snack bags, granola bar wrappers, 6-pack plastic rings, and produce netting.

  • Soft Plastics (Soft): #2 & #4

    #4 and #2 soft plastics including cereal bags, bubble wrap, and produce bags.

  • Pop Tabs

    Aluminum can tabs for Ronald McDonald House of Cincinnati.

  • Athletic shoes

    Athletic shoes in any condition.

  • Straws/Utensils

    Unwrapped or unwrapped items.
