a gathering of textile visionaries redefining the fabric of possibilities
FIBER FORUM 2025
SEPTEMBER 16, 2025
6:00PM–10:00PM
Heart of Northside: 4222 Hamilton Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45223
Get ready for Fiber Forum!
On September 16, 2025, threads of creativity, sustainability, and innovation weave together at Cincinnati Recycling & Reuse Hub’s Fiber Forum . As part of our Nothing New Here program, we unite Cincinnati’s textile specialists for an immersive exchange of knowledge, ideas, and collaboration. This is a space where old ideas find new life, and artistry meets sustainability.
Why the Fiber Forum is imperative
Manufacturers and consumers of the fast fashion industry generate more than 17 million pounds of textile waste in the U.S. each year. Less than 15% is recycled. The remainder is either burned (19%) or landfilled (66%).
To put that in perspective, our local primary landfill is 230 acres (which is the largest in Ohio and 6th largest in the nation). They accept 2 million tons of waste per year. Landfilled textiles alone require nearly six times that amount of space.
