What We Take - To Reuse
All items must be clean, dry, and free of food, human hair, pet hair, lice, cockroaches, spiders, bed bugs, mice, and other pests. Please schedule deliveries for large items. It is imperative that items be CLEAN, DRY, and FREE OF PRODUCT. Thank you for understanding! Before you come, visit our How To Drop Off page.
Many of the items that we accept for reuse are available to take away on our Fourth Floor Shopping area. Learn more about how to shop this space here!
3-ring binders in usable condition.
Binders
Corks - any material (true cork or alternative).

Egg cartons - paperboard, styrofoam, and plastic cartons are all accepted.
Egg Cartons
Sunglasses, reading glasses, prescription eyeglasses, and cases in good condition. Frames and lenses can be recycled if metal or plastic - individual glass lenses are not accepted.
Eyeglasses
Still-wrapped plastic utensils are accepted for reuse and donated to various organizations that provide meals.
Wrapped Plastic Utensils
Styrofoam coolers are accepted for reuse. Other styrofoam is also accepted for recycling.
Styrofoam Coolers
Metal, wood, plastic, or combination hangers are accepted for reuse. Broken plastic and metal components of hangers can be recycled - please separate.
Hangers
Writing utensils; pens, pencils, colored pencils, markers, crayons. Usable office supplies.
Office Supplies
Crutches, walkers, canes, prescription eyeglasses, X-ray film, empty pill bottles.
IMPORTANT: We always prefer reuse over recycling! See HERE for steps to donate prescription bottles for reuse.
Medical Items
Bubble wrap and air pillows. We also accept cardboard boxes in good condition, used to bring in recyclables. Please recycle other paper and cardboard through curbside!
Packing Materials
Plant pots (plastic, terracotta, or other materials) are accepted for reuse. Please ensure pots are dry and dirt is removed before dropping off.

Wire cutters, punches, awls, rotary cutters, scissors, X-acto knives, box cutters, replacement blades, glass cutting tools, heat guns, glue guns, pottery tools, wood carving tools, linoleum cutters, screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, wrenches, work gloves., gardening tools.
Tools
Usable greeting cards for any occasion. Please recycle used paper greeting cards in curbside recycling.
Greeting Cards
We accept many items for creative reuse, such as sewing notions, yarn, fabric, paper arts supplies, etc. Visit our fourth floor to see the kinds of items we accept, and call if you have questions!
