What We Take - To Recycle
All items must be clean, dry, and free of food, human hair, pet hair, lice, cockroaches, spiders, bed bugs, mice, and other pests. Please schedule deliveries for large items. Sticker/paper labels on plastic items can stay!
It is imperative that items be CLEAN, DRY, and FREE OF PRODUCT. Thank you for understanding!

Keep in mind that many items we do not accept (such as paper, most cardboard, and certain plastics) are accepted through curbside! When possible, please use curbside recycling.
Note: While we will accept plastics for free, a donation of any amount when plastics are dropped off is appreciated and will go towards helping us pay to ship them.
All brands of plastic coffee bags (paper can be recycled curbside). Please remove all product.
Coffee Bags
Sunglasses, reading glasses, prescription eyeglasses, and cases in good condition. Frames and lenses can be recycled if metal or plastic - individual glass lenses are not accepted.

Flexible Film: Frozen food bags, chip bags, candy wrappers (please place in small ziploc bag), pet food bags, #5 and #7 bags, prewashed salad bags.
Please get as much of the food/product out of the packaging as possible before bringing it to us; all packaging must be dry when we receive it. Sticker labels on items are okay, even if paper-based.
Please recycle plastics through curbside when possible!

Effective 2/8/24: Only gently used footwear in wearable condition is accepted. Verify with a staff member at drop off.

Contact lens packaging, Brita water filters, corks, egg cartons, cigar boxes, styrofoam coolers.
We cannot take blood-glucose monitors as they are a biological hazard. Please see our “What we can’t take” page for more details on how to dispose of these items.
Miscellaneous Items
Empty toothpaste tubes and caps, toothbrushes, toothpaste cartons, toothbrush plastic outer packaging, and floss containers. See TerraCycle page for more information.
NOTE: Electric toothbrushes, battery toothbrushes, and/or their parts are accepted through our electronics recycling program.
Oral Care
All rigid #1 - #7 and no-number plastics, sorted by number. NOW ACCEPTING #1 Plastics! Plastic lids*, straws, fishing line, corrugated plastic sheets/signs, plastic plant pots, kitty litter buckets, plastic utensils, used gift cards (plastic only - if it tears, recycle it!), plastic packaging (including containers, clam shells, fruit and salad containers, coffee & creamer capsules, etc.).

Please recycle plastics through curbside when possible! Any plastic containers with a wider base than neck, and any tubs, can be recycled curbside. *Reattach plastic caps or lids to plastic containers going curbside!

Store Drop Off: Grocery bags, bread bags, overwrap (from bottled water, toilet paper, paper towels, etc), ziploc bags, produce bags, air pillows (from shipping), bubble wrap, cereal bags, newspaper bags, dry cleaning bags, #2 and #4 bags, plastic shipping envelopes (labels okay).

Clean, white styrofoam (molded foam packaging), clean food and colored styrofoam, plastic styrofoam. Keep packing peanuts (Styrofoam and biodegradable/starch) contained in a bag or box.

Unusable pens, markers, highlighters, dry-erase markers, any brand. Please separate from usable markers and pens that can be saved for reuse.

X-ray images can be recycled and a small amount of metals can be recovered from them.
