New Year, New Tools

As we kick off a new year at the Hub, we’ve been working to help make recycling drop off even easier. A lot of this has involved education on how the Hub operates, curbside recycling refreshers, and now this new quick guide to sorting your materials.

No one page guide could ever cover all that we can do here at the Hub, but this quick guide offers important information on how to pre-sort materials for your drop off.

Why Pre-Sort?

  • With our expanding collections and limited footprint, there isn’t a lot of space to sort on site for all of our customers.

  • Our Mini-Hub where you drop off materials is not climate controlled. Pre-Sorting will shorten your amount of time needed in the unfavorable temperatures.

  • We’re continuing to grow in the amount of recycling drop off customers at the Hub. Pre-Sorting will help ensure you can have a quick in and out and keep the congestion down.

But what if I am still not sure where something goes?

Bring your “I’m not sure/I don’t know/???” bag of materials and a volunteer will be happy to assist you. Recycling is easy, but that doesn’t mean it is simple. We know that some items require a verification on where they get dropped off, and we’re happy to help.

We will be sharing more tools to help you recycle at the Hub in the future, including a recorded version of the popular Mini-Hub trainings that have been hosted the last few weeks. Stay tuned for the release by joining our email newsletter list. Happy Sorting!
